Batima Zaurbekova's website: her name in large serif type above a geometric wool tapestry and an archive photo of her at work in front of a large tapestry

Objective

The artist had no proper home for her work online: an earlier site showed 16 placeholder pieces, and the catalogue lived in photos and a spreadsheet. The goal: one gallery of her collection in 3 languages.

Scope

A gallery of 76 works, split into tapestries and paintings, each with its own page and catalogue details.

Kazakh, Russian and English on every page.

Every photograph prepared from the catalogue: turned the right way up, framed on its subject and made light enough to load fast.

Results

Built in March and April 2026. The artist's team later moved the design and structure to their own platform, and it is live at batima.art in 3 languages.

My part

I designed the layout and built the site: structure, visual design, the catalogue and every image. The artist's team later rebuilt it on their own platform, keeping the design.
